Bank President/Chief Lending Officer (23029)

Job Description:

Our cleint is seeking a hard-working entrepreneurial individual to join our innovative and passionate team as a President and Chief Lending Officer.  In this position you will be responsible for soliciting negotiating, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of new and renewed commercial, consumer, residential, and SBA loans in compliance with the Bank’s lending policies and procedures. You will apply your experience to developing loan products and processes to better serve small businesses and social enterprises. The position will also contribute to strategy development for this segment of our work, helping the bank to further define where our capital is most needed, and what types of borrowers we can best serve. Major functions include administration of executive and senior managers. Work is varied in nature with changing priorities. This position requires a high degree of initiative, discretion and judgment. Incumbent applies advanced knowledge of banking, Bank products, services and operations. Works under advisory of the Board of Directors and assures compliance with all bank policies and procedures as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act. 


Provides leadership in developing and implementing short and long-term objectives, plans and policies subject to the approval of the Board of Directors to insure profit and growth goals are met.

 

Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of all operations.

 

Maintains sound organizational structure and effective personnel for proper delegation of authority.

 

Ensures soundness of assets and asset management. 

 

Represents the bank to regulatory agencies, trade associations, community and civic organizations, customers, and other financial institutions.

 

Provides leadership, direction and guidance of bank activities and is responsible for all day-to-day bank office functions. 

 

Works with top management to develop and implement the policies and goals covering bank operations, personnel, and financial performance.

 

Closely monitors bank activities through executive and senior vice presidents and directs corrective action when required. 

 

Ensures the training and development of staff, official and nonofficial, in order to achieve the organization's objectives. 

 

Supervises the development and implementation of the bank's marketing program.

 

Directs Board meetings and coordinates business development activities.

 

Ensures the bank business is conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

 

Works with Sr. Lender to plan and establish the objectives for the bank in areas of lending consistent with overall bank objectives.

 

Forecasts the local commercial and individual financial and banking service opportunities and assists in the development of strategy to accommodate the market and the bank's objectives.

 

Ensures the proper staffing of all areas of the bank with personnel possessing the managerial, technical and clerical skills to effectively meet objectives by providing training, advice and guidance to personnel.

 

Key member of lending committees and meetings.
