Job Description:

Manager/Director, Information Technology

 

As an experienced IT professional, your mission is to help lead the bank towards creating next-level solutions that improve the way the bank’s IT infrastructure is run.  Your hands-on knowledge in system design, application development, testing and operational stability will be instrumental in delivering high quality products. You’ll be instrumental in solving difficult technical issues, liaising with partners and vendors to develop integration elements, build data models, and APIs.  You’ll see your ideas come to life as part of a small, success-driven team. Your quest to embracing leading-edge technologies and methodologies will help transform the bank’s infrastructure.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of strategic IT planning, implementation, and support as an integral component of the bank’s business plan.
  • Lead the review and upgrade of the existing technology infrastructure of the bank to meet the requirement of the new business plan
  • Ensure that the bank’s IT security and compliance systems are up to date and can support the new technology driven offerings of the bank
  • Liaise with the bank regulators with regards to technology infrastructure capabilities, IT securities and compliance concerns
  • Work with Sr. Management in the introduction of technology driven, innovative new service offerings that will generate non-interest income for the bank
  • Manage IT budget and negotiate contracts with IT vendors
  • Ensures all applications comply with state and federal laws, regulations and Bank IT policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with all bank policies and procedures as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the Bank can gain competitive advantage
  • Analyze the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions


Qualifications:


  • BSc/BA in computer science, engineering or relevant field; MSc/MA will be preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in IT functions within a financial institution in the US.
  • 2+ years experience in FinTech - Financial Technology including applications, processes, products, or business models in the financial services industry, composed of one or more complementary financial services and provided as an end-to-end process via the Internet.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • A strong strategic and business mindset
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
