Job Description:

The Litigation Support Project Manager will work with lawyers and legal support professionals, providing project management support across multiple practice areas. The Project Manager will support and contribute to the development and implementation of eDiscovery and Litigation Support project management best practices, tools and techniques, and provide user training on eDiscovery and Litigation Support processing and review software.

Essential Duties:

  • Works closely with partner and lawyer teams supporting the efficient management of client engagements through scoping/pitching, planning, managing/monitoring, matter completion and review.
  • Provides 'on-demand' support and consultancy for partners and lawyers on 'live matters' at set up, delivery and/or review.
  • Champions and supports the build out of Litigation Support Project Management (LSPM) capability across the Firm
  • Coordinates trial support, depositions, video depositions, live transcripts, and full text searching of transcripts.
  • Identifies opportunities for efficiency and innovation and assists with the development of solutions.
  • Implements technology, best practices and systems consistently across all offices that are in line with Firm policies and business goals.
  • Serves as trusted member of litigation/case teams focused on service quality, delivery and efficiency.
  • Liaises with other firm operational specialists in the areas of pricing/finance, IT/reporting, knowledge gathering/sharing, pitching/marketing and business development.
  • Provides training and development on LSPM methodology.
  • Supports implementation, use and development of the LSPM software tool and provides user training.
  • Works with Litigation Support Manager and Litigation Support Project Managers to ensure legal teams are using appropriate, innovative and cost-effective technologies in managing the discovery process.
  • Provides in-depth consulting on e-discovery issues.
  • Works with client legal and IT departments to analyze and advise on responses to discovery requests.
  • Assists legal teams to determine appropriate internal or external litigation support applications.  Manages implementation of support applications.
  • Manages data transfer and storage, utilizing firm policies and best practices.
  • Participates in post-project analysis to discover workflow inefficiencies and obstacles and to apply quality control processes and improvements to the discovery process.
  • Assists with development and delivery of training to litigation case teams on effective document review protocol utilizing both Firm and vendor technology.
  • Assists in directing the provision of firm-wide technical assistance for Relativity, West's Case Notebook, CaseMap, TimeMap, Sanction, and various other internal and external litigation software.
  • Communicates, markets, and promotes use of litigation technology, practice support services and products supported by the Firm.
  • Coordinates electronic and paper document discovery, including processing, scanning, coding, review and productions.
  • Troubleshoots litigation-specific software programs.
  • Ensures expertise in relevant technology and proactively uses most current technology.
  • Participates in appropriate industry organizations, staying current with developments in litigation technology.


 Bachelors degree preferred. Certifications such as Relativity-Certified Administrator, PRINCE2, PMP, and ACEDS preferred. 5+ years experience in litigation technology, preferably in a large volume vendor environment.  Law firm experience a plus.  Project Leader experience and in-depth hands-on experience processing and producing ESI. 

Experience using various litigation support applications, such as:  Relativity, Nuix, Law, Sanction, Trial Director, WestLaw Case Notebook, Case Map, TimeMap.  Experience with Document Management Systems, Project Extranets, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint a plus. Knowledge of  PowerPoint, Adobe, SnagIt, Snippet, X1 Professional, and PageVault a plus. Excellent verbal, written, analytical, research and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving, organizational and planning skills.  Pro-active, self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team. 

Core hours 9:30 am – 6:00 pm. Regular and predictable attendance during assigned work schedule required.  Available and willing to work extra hours as needed.
